2008-2009 NEW YEAR CELEBRATION (LONDON )
Las Florecitas is currently in negotiations to attend London’s New Year’s Day Parade and Festival 2009. The event is by invitation of the Patrons who include Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s Lord Lieutenant for Greater London, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, and the Lord Mayor of the City of Westminster. Youth Music of the World is the exclusive Performance Travel program organizer appointed by the event. London’s New Year’s Day Parade and Festival is now perhaps the greatest event of its kind in the world, regularly featuring 10,000 participants who play to audiences of almost a million on the streets of London, and 220 million worldwide on television
Thousands of performers from all around the world will be taking part in London's spectacular annual New Year's Day Parade. The Parade celebrates its 23rd Anniversary in 2009, of bringing extraordinary entertainment to thousands of people every year.
Las Florecitas have been invited again to sing for the second time for
the GRAND FINALE at the Tejano Music Awards, on March 6th, 2008, in San
Antonio Texas. In 2007, Las Florecitas received six nominations. Most
Promising Band, Show Band, Vocal Duo, Female Entertainer of the Year,
and Album of the Year. The Twins have stated that, " Nominations coming
from their peers have a lot of signifigance to them" and, "They are
honored to be part of a great group of artists."
